Rentickle offers furniture and appliances on rent at affordable rates. The idea for Rentickle originated when founders Amit Sodhi and Vineet Chawla felt it was time to change their corporate routine. They set their minds to provide solutions to consumers looking for convenient furniture and home appliances. In various trips overseas, they learnt furniture and appliance renting was a growing industry. Young professionals moving around cities, young couples setting up homes with limited capital, students away from home and even expats visiting India for work or leisure needed this service. Existing neighborhood furniture shops offered this service but they were unorganised, unprofessional and their products lacked variety and quality. Acknowledging and acting on this need gap formed the genesis of Rentickle.
One of the most formidable challenges for Rentickle was to get the right team in place. Thankfully, fifteen months into the venture, they had a dedicated, experienced and loyal team sourced from reputed companies and institutions. The other challenge was securing angel funding- here again, the company was fortunate to have senior corporate stalwarts invest and bestow their confidence in the venture. The investors also mentored, advised and helped the business grow in a short span of time.
Rentickle focuses on delivering the best customer experience by ensuring product quality. It sources quality raw material and specialises in teak-based furniture which is durable, aesthetically pleasing and easy to maintain. The appliances are sourced directly from manufacturers and thus consumers receive professionally packaged goods with warranty. Rentickle offers attractive monthly rentals at throwaway prices, free delivery, complimentary on-site maintenance, fabric cleaning and appliance maintenance.
Its vision is to be the market leader in renting lifestyle products. Currently, Rentickle offers services in Delhi, NCR and Hyderabad and plans to expand to all major cities of India in express time.
